Sherrie West: Lighting the Path to Self-Care, One Candle at a Time
Empowering busy women to embrace peace, relaxation, and mindful living through the art of aromatherapy.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm Sherrie West, owner of The Therapy Bar Candles. My mission is set to ignite a new era of self-care with a mission to serve, educate, and connect.
My carefully crafted aromatherapy candles are more than just a flicker of light; they are a beacon for personal well-being. By offering workshops and candle tips, we aim to enlighten individuals about the transformative power of scent, opening doors to a world where relaxation is just a flame away. My candles are designed to envelop your space in a soothing ambiance, fostering an environment ripe for peace, clarity, and calmness.
I believe in building a thriving candle business One Scent At A Time with an emphasis on helping busy professional women conquer their self-care journey. Being a Candlepreneur, is a creative art that focuses on refreshing aromatherapy candles, effective ways to create a space for a mental detox, and finding actionable self-care practices. I want you to change the narrative of self-care into a lifestyle of peace & relaxation.
Sometimes we need those transformative moments that completely shift everything. Can you share a pivotal moment in your entrepreneurial journey and how it shaped your approach moving forward?
Learning how to stay motivated during the slow seasons is a testament of my passion for candle craftsmanship. For me, I've learned to build up my inventory and focus on revamping areas in my business that isn't working.
Some people look at the glass as half-empty, while others see it as half-full. In this digital era, how do you differentiate your business in seemingly oversaturated markets?
I tell my authentic story of how self-care can be tied to aromatherapy candles and the impact it can have in someone's wellness journey.
How do you approach goal setting for your business to maintain success? What are your methods?
I plan my quarterly goals and reassess those goals to see if they were achieved.
As an entrepreneur, what systems have you put in place to manage your physical and mental health to maintain focus in your business?
I have office hours and I set healthy boundaries for myself to invest in self-care without feeling guilty.
What has been the most impactful part of your journey? What can others learn from your experience?
I want women to know that you can be an entrepreneur, mom, and work full-time with the support from family, developing systems/processes, and being true to maintaining a positive mindset.
